This is my syllabus for Mathematics with all my important information.
In Mathematics we are covering the 6th Grade Common Core State Standards. The 5 major units are :
The Number System
Geometry
Ratios and Proportional Relationships
Expressions and Equations
Statistics and Probability.
Grades will come mostly from the assessments we give in class.
Daily work will be entered as a number grade as follows :
3--- Really knows what he/she is doing and makes few errors
2--- Is proficient, but makes a few errors. Generally understands the topic.
1--- Does not show that the student understands the topic or did not complete the assignment.
The following websites are helpful links for learning the 6th grade standards. The first 2 links are the textbooks we use in the classroom. There are practice quizzes, videos to watch, and many other helpful hints.
